NEXT FRIDAY! Ashi-Chan from The Tester Season 3 presents: I Wish My Life was an RPG…and other BlackNerd laments

MY ROOMMATE and all-around awesome woman ASHPHORD JACOWAY (who you may recognize from The Tester Season 3) is performing her one-woman show “I Wish My Life was an RPG” at Meltdown Comics on Friday, March 9th at 8 PM.

If you are not at GDC, you need to be there. Ashphord is an INTENSE ball of energy, and she will drag your soul, kicking and screaming, into her life: the life of a nerdy, black woman.

Here is the official release for your viewing pleasure:

March is now officially BLACK NERD HISTORY MONTH!

Come out and support all kinds of Diversity in Nerdom with Ashphord ‘Ashi-chan’ Jacoway, Andre BlackNerd, and the ladies of Chocolate Covered Cosplay!

Andre BlackNerd will be performing a comedy set before a live performance of I Wish My Life was an RPG by Ashphord Jacoway, directed by Mischa Livingstone.

This solo performance follows one Black Female Nerd’s quest from rejection by her own culture and male geeks to self-acceptance and love for all humanity.

After the live performances, there will be an open dialogue on race and gender in geek culture, facilitated by Ashphord, Andre, and Chocolate Covered Cosplay.

Lastly, THERE WILL BE MUSIC AND DANCING into the night with The Girls of C3 and Jordan Michael.
